The Black Day
On 04th Jan 2026, Ps. Bipin, along with his family, attended the Church service, and he had just finished preaching. There were around 40 people who attended that Sunday, as that was also the Communion Sunday, which was the big gathering compared to the normal Sundays. Pastor Bipin finished his preaching from Matthew 10:28:
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Then he knelt at the table to break the bread and pour the wine.
Aggressive Mob with Slogans
There were over a hundred people with logs, saffron flags, and saffron-colored powder who rammed into the church with aggressive slogans, creating panic and threatening everyone not to take photos or videos. They surrounded him and tied his hands.
The Holy Cup Desecration
They shouted humiliating words, abused the women and children present, took the wine cup, spilled it on the floor, filled it with cow dung water, and forced him to drink.
The Parade
They placed a garland of sandals around his neck and paraded him through the village streets, beating him from behind and demanding that he deny Jesus and repeat their slogans.
The Drama at the Police Station / Mocking Behavior
Ps. Bipin’s wife, Mrs. Vandhana Naik, rushed to the police station with her daughters, desperately seeking help. The police responded mockingly, saying there was no vehicle available and that help would not come immediately.
It’s Not Instant Maggie
The police showed no urgency and mocked her request, saying assistance would not be instant.
Protectors Became Spectators
By the time police arrived, over 300 people had gathered. They continued the abuse, took him to a temple, smeared saffron on his face, and forced him to chant slogans. The police simply watched.
Vision Blurry but Seen Christ
By afternoon, around 2 PM, he was dehydrated, faint, and barely conscious. Yet in that moment, he saw Christ with wounded hands. His wife and fellow pastors later took him to the hospital.
Future Plan
When asked about his future, Ps. Bipin said he is eager to return and restart the church. Even if it costs his life, he considers it an honor to serve Christ.
Sowers in Action
Supporting the persecuted is at the heart of Sowers Ministry. It took a 48-hour journey to reach him. When his family was taken to a meal, they were overwhelmed with emotion, saying they had not eaten properly since the incident. Sowers also provided financial aid for their needs.
Dear Friends and Partners of Sowers, You are the Reason.
